Tech
Our team has many combined years of experience in deploying and working with complex systems in various industries. We used this experience to set up a robust and reliable infrastructure capable of supporting EOS, BOS and Europechain and now WAX as well.
Our current bare metal servers are located in Amsterdam and Frankfurt. Our WAX servers will be located in the same location. We will have Dell R230 machines equipped with an Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5–1620 v4 @ 3.50GHz with 128 GB RAM. On top of that, we will have four 480 GB SSDs. We will actively monitor our infrastructure to ensure our network is up to network standards.
Due to the way our infrastructure is set up, we are able to upgrade our hardware in a timely manner if the network demands it.

Community
EOS Amsterdam aims to accelerate EOSIO mass adoption through projects, security, governance, and intercultural cooperation, which is why we consider the community aspect of our operations paramount. As a result of this we have been actively developing and funding projects that benefit the whole EOSIO community. We have also been focusing on attending and hosting various events and meetups to bring the whole EOSIO community together. We will show some examples of what we have been working on and what we plan on working on in the future below.
Bridging the East and the West
EOS Amsterdam focuses on different communities and has always aimed to bridge communities in the East and West. We have done so by attending and hosting a lot of meetups, conferences and more around the world, connecting with Chinese and Korean enterprises and by making sure our website is available in both Chinese and English.
We have also been focusing on publishing all kinds of useful articles and explanatory videos to give everyone an opportunity to learn about EOS. This is a key concept for us as we believe EOS should be available for everyone.
Projects
As said before we are doing more than just hosting events and bridging the East and West, we are working on many projects as well! Our main projects are the following:
- WordProof: WordProof is WordPress on the blockchain. WordPress is a textbook example of a community which is stronger than any other commercial company. With more than 100 million sites and thousands of Open Source developers, it dominates 32,5% of the worldwide Content Management System market. The purpose of WordProof is to generate the go-to WordPress to Blockchain bridge, bringing the benefits of Blockchain to the WordPress community in a user-friendly way.
- Europechain: Europechain is a GDPR compliant blockchain platform. Powered by the EOSIO protocol, it is managed and governed by experienced block producers registered in the European Union. Europechain brings together an ecosystem of technology providers, system integrators and commercial partners enabling global enterprises to deploy scalable, resilient and EU compliant applications.
- FACT: FACT is a powerful tool to capture events and evidence and record the data as FACTs onto the blockchain for audit and traceability. FACT is flexible and fully customisable to work with your existing processes. Simple for users, powerful for businesses. FACT is powered by Europechain and delivers a toolbox for the recording of events using a simple smartform. Data is captured and then recorded on Europechain, proving that what is recorded is factual and accurate.
Besides these projects, we are continuously looking at new opportunities to either create or fund new projects and will continue to do so in the future.
Onboarding of gaming clients
All of our team members are well-connected within their respective industries with many of our team members having strong connections in the gaming industry. Using these connections we plan on onboarding the gaming industry onto WAX, benefiting the whole WAX community.
These strong ties with various enterprises in the gaming industry will also help us understand enterprise needs and will allow us to act on these needs, making the WAX chain better and more appealing to companies seeking to tokenize their digital assets.
Strongblock partnership
EOS Amsterdam and our project Europechain are partners with Strongblock, identical to WAX. Together with Strongblock, we share many of the same values, like a focus on governance and a belief that many applications that use databases will have an alternative by using blockchain technology as the underlying technology.
Our vision
Following the WAX Guild candidate criteria, we would also like to express our vision on various subjects.
Governance
We consider governance to be a valuable asset of EOSIO technology. Our team has plenty of experience with (digital) governance and most notably has Jetse Sprey, who has over twenty years of experience in all legal aspects of technology and is a partner in a reputable legal firm. Thanks to this experience we were able to (co-)author the EOS Community Constitution (ECC) and have been able to help enterprises and projects with the legal aspect of their operations. Our expertise in digital governance will certainly come handy when it comes to resolving situations in the grey area that is the legal side of blockchains, especially digital assets.
As a result of our expertise in governance, we have become a well-respected entity in the governance space. Being a knowledgeable entity in the (digital) governance space has always been an important asset of EOS Amsterdam.
Transparency and accountability
To ensure honesty and good intent of block producers transparency and accountability are a must. EOS Amsterdam is committed to remaining as transparent as possible. We have always shared our ownership information, continuously updated our community on what we have been up to and much more, which we plan on continuing to do so in the future.
Security
Security is an important aspect of all blockchains. We value the security side of our operations a lot, the solidity and overall secureness of our systems is paramount. Our systems are continuously monitored by Kahuna, a sister company of EOS Amsterdam which focuses on cybersecurity. Many of our team members also have a background in cybersecurity, with Rhett being the founder and former CEO of Kahuna.
Infrastructure
To ensure the integrity of the blockchain the infrastructure of Guilds needs to be both reliable and fast. We believe in continuously monitoring and improving our infrastructure and making sure our infrastructure is up to the task. Our previous experience from operating on other EOSIO chains will also be very valuable when operating on WAX. Besides this, we also believe in developing tools to support the WAX ecosystem.
